Virtus Bologna expunged the Assago Forum in Game 3 of the Serie A semifinals, beating Olimpia Milano 78-68: the Black VUs, despite the absences of Clyburn and Polonara, return to the lead in the series and are now just one win away from qualifying for the final against Brescia.

Ivanovic’s team surprised the hosts with a great start and at the long halftime found themselves in front 40-35. The meneghini came back down in the second half, even taking a lead as high as +3, but then collapsed in the last quarter.

The team was not enough.

Milan didn&#8217t have enough Mirotic (21 points), for Virtus the top scorers were Cordinier and Shengelia with 19 points each, for Brandon Taylor 7 assists and 12 points. “It&#8217s been a scrappy game on our part” said Olimpia coach Ettore Messina after the match.

“Maybe having won by 20 the other day and seeing the absence of Clyburn we thought it was business as usual. Now we reset and try to play Saturday’s match properly. I apologize to the fans“
