First world qualifier for Jordan

After Uzbekistan, Jordan also qualified for the first World Cup in its history after winning (3-0, Ali Olwin’s hat trick) in Oman on the penultimate day of Asian qualifying securing its participation in the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Thanks to this success, the Jordanians can no longer be joined in second place in Group B by third-place Iraq, which lost (2-0) to top-ranked and qualified South Korea.
