Angelo Binaghi dreams of another triumph beyond Jannik Sinner’s

The president of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation Angelo Binaghi spoke to Supertennis ahead of Sunday’s Roland Garros finals: “We hope that all Italians can watch them because these guys really deserve to be followed, they deserve that our whole country can cheer for them”.

“Last year we were amazed that we made three finals, then we lost all three, but that was perfectly fine, also because Jannik had become number one in the world. This year we are playing three finals again, but one we have already won thanks to Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori in mixed doubles, so we can only get better. We hope that on Sunday both our girls and Jannik will be able to live up to this great performance they did today”.

“We witnessed a galactic-level third set between Sinner and Djokovic, just as we saw an incredible women’s doubles. Sara and Jasmine were extraordinary, winning 6-1 6-0 a repeat of the final at the’Olympics”.
