World Cup qualifiers: victories for the Netherlands and Austria

The Netherlands’ away win over Finland in the Orange’s debut match in Group G of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while the northern Europeans were on their third. The goals were by Depay in the 6th minute and Dumfries in the 23rd minute.
Austria also won on its debut, but at home, over Romania, also in its third game like Finland, 2-1 in a Group H match.
By Gregoritsch in the 42nd minute and Sabitzer in the 60th minute the hosts’ goals, Alibec shortened the gap but only in the 95th minute. In Group K, the same as England, 0-0 between Albania and Serbia.
