Italy is trying to get back on its feet after the shock of Oslo.

The Azzurri are called upon to win the remaining matches of the round, and in a convincing manner, in order to still be able to hit direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup, or else to make it to the play-offs that have always seen us succumb in recent years. Already on Monday, the national team cannot afford to make a mistake against Moldova, but the climate on the eve of the match is very tense and is likely to affect the team.

FIGC president Gabriele Gravina has not armored coach Luciano Spalletti: “Will he stay? I can’t say, we have to find the best solution to relaunch from Monday night, then we will do some reflections to arrive at our best in the other matches, play them with the knife between our teeth”, he said on the sidelines of the A Festival.

The FIGC president Gabriele Gravina did not say that he will stay.

On the possible replacement: “Ranieri? I send him a big hug, it is not yet the time for names but to face reality and respect our current ct”.

On the prospect of a third World Cup exclusion: “I cannot even think about it. Right now Norway is stronger than us, we needed a different approach, with the fire inside that Buffon refers to. I explain it with objective elements such as a championship, ours, that delivered guys exhausted and arrived two days before the departure: we found ourselves preparing the match against a battleship in a way that did not deserve such an important match”.
