Italy in crisis: Silvio Baldini defends Luciano Spalletti with viral rant

The outburst of Pescara coach Silvio Baldini after the Abruzzesi were promoted to Serie B at the end of the final match against Ternana has gone viral. The Delfino’s coach also spoke about the national team’s crisis and defended highly disputed coach Luciano Spalletti.
“If Italy lost 3-0 to Norway, the problem is not Spalletti, the problem is that they are creating a generation of people who no longer know what the Italian flag”is, is Baldini’s attack.
“They no longer know what it means to wear the Azzurri jersey. The real national team is that of’82”, he continued.
“I don“t care, those were heroes. That was soccer, those were people. If our leaders don’t understand these things the swindlers” will always go on.
