Portugal wins Nations League, Spain beaten on penalties

At the Allianz Arena in Munich, Portugal wins the second Nations League in its history after its success in 2019, which was the first edition of the competition, beating Spain on penalty kicks.

Spain took the lead in the 21st minute through Zubimendi, who scored with his right-footed shot on the edge of the small area. Portugal equalized in the 26th minute: Pedro Neto gave to Nuno Mendes, who went on target with his left.

The Red Furies took the lead again in the 45th minute: a counterattack by Pedri and a stretch to Oyarzabal, who strikes Diogo Costa with his right hand. In the second half, in the 61st minute Cristiano Ronaldo tied his side again.

The final for third place, at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart, was won by France, which beat hosts Germany 2-0, goals by Mbappé in the 45th minute and Olise in the 84th minute.
