Joaquin Correa will be at the Club World Cup, but not with the'Inter Milan

After three non-consecutive seasons at Inter (in 2023-2024 there was in fact a loan to Olympique Marseille), Joaquin Correa has decided to leave the Nerazzurri club, anticipating the natural expiration of his contract by a few days. As reported by ‘Sky Sport‘, “El Tucu” will be at the World Club Championship with a’different jersey, that of Brazil’s Botafogo.
This is therefore a return to South America for the Argentine footballer, who had left Argentina at the end of 2014 to join Sampdoria in January 2015. From there came experiences at Sevilla and Lazio, before those on the Nerazzurri side of Milan and Marseille. Correa will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with Botafogo.
Qualified for the Club World Cup thanks to success in the 2024 Copa Libertadores edition, Botafogo is placed in Group B of the rainbow competition, along with Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Seattle Sounders. Fogão will play against the latter precisely at Seattle’s Lumen Field, while it will face the two European teams at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
The first edition of the new Club World Cup will also see two Italian teams at the start: in Group E there’s Inter Milan, which will be up against River Plate, Urawa Reds and Monterrey also playing between Pasadena and Seattle, while in Group G there’s Juventus, engaged against Manchester City, Wydad Casablanca and Al-Ain in Orlando, Philadelphia and Washington, respectively.
