Jannik Sinner, the'former French tennis player comes out: "Huge sadness for him"

The Roland Garros final is still a topic of discussion in the tennis world because of the quality of the game expressed and Carlos Alcaraz’s crazy comeback against Jannik Sinner. Former French tennis player and Prime Video commentator Fabrice Santoro praised the two young players, authors of a historic match.

“Although Nadal retired in a wonderful ceremony on the first day of the tournament, Federer a few years ago and Djokovic is in the closing stages of his long career, tennis remains in good hands. We will never forget the duels of the Big 3, but I never thought we would regain such a high level of play so soon after their departure”.

Santoro showed some sympathy just for Jannik: “Winner in the end after 5 1/2 hours of incredible play, Alcaraz will naturally garner praise from all fans and observers. But we must not forget the Italian, who showed an unwavering fighting spirit and the’humility to hold on to the end in a very complicated situation for him”.

“I feel tremendous sadness for Sinner, because losing after such a situation is extremely painful”,

concluded Santoro.
