Fencing, Genoa European Championships on Sky and streaming on NOW
A great new event in the summer of Sky’s House of Sport. The decisive assaults and medal-winning hits of the “Genoa 2025” European Fencing Championships will be live on Sky and streamed on NOW, from Saturday, June 14 to Thursday, June 19.
The top continental fencing event, which returns to Italy after a full 13 years, will feature six days of exciting competition. Italy presents itself with great ambitions: 28 athletes have been summoned by CTs Simone Vanni for foil, Dario Chiadò for epee, Andrea Aquili for women’s saber and Andrea Terenzio for men’s saber, with 12 Olympic medalists and 8 debutants (including 2 Under 20).
The Sky Sports team is ready to report live on the individual tournaments, with assaults for the podium, and the finals of the team tournaments, for a total of 12 medal events that will take place on the platforms of the new Palasport in the Ligurian capital. The telecasts, broadcast on Sky Sport Uno, Sky Sport Arena and streaming on NOW, will be by Pietro Nicolodi. At his side will be well-known and important athletes, technicians and experts for the technical commentary of the challenges. On the sidelines, interviews before and after the assaults will be by Francesca Zambon.
