Inter, Mehdi Taremi direct about his future

Mehdi Taremi, who starred with a goal and an assist in his Iranian side’s 3-0 win over North Korea on the final day of qualification for the 2026 World Cup, also spoke about his future with Inter Milan after the match.
“I have a contract with Inter Milan and if you (addressing Iranian journalists, ed.) allow me to do so, I will stay with this team” the Iranian center forward stressed in no uncertain terms.
Taremi has a contract with Inter Milan until June 30, 2027. In his first season in the Nerazzurri, the former Porto man disappointed expectations, scoring only 3 goals in 43 appearances among all competitions (Serie A, Coppa Italia, Champions League and Italian Super Cup).
After the double commitment with the Iranian national team, Taremi will join Inter directly in the United States. Cristian Chivu’s men, in fact, are preparing for their debut in the Club World Cup, scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, at 3 p.m. Italian time at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles against Mexico’s Monterrey.
