Tragedy in rally, Italian junior champion Matteo Doretto dies in Poland

Tragedy during pre-race testing at the Poland Rally: Italian Junior 2024 champion Matteo Doretto, 21, from Pordenone, died from the consequences of a’road accident.
This was confirmed to ANSA by Grzegorz Różański, spokesman for the fire department of the Polish city of Olsztyn.
In contrast, co-pilot Samuele Pellegrino is in good condition in the hospital, Różański again specifies.
The Peugeot 208 Rally4 of the Italian crew crashed into a tree on the roads around Elganowo, near Pasym.
