Conegliano, new face on second line with Serena Scognamillo

The Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano welcomes a new libero for the 2025/26 season: she will be Serena Scognamillo, from Rome, class of 2001, 170 cm, the new the “deputy” of Monica De Gennaro. The new Panther comes from her experience in Brescia will wear jersey number 5.
Grew up in the prestigious Volleyrò Casal de Pazzi nursery, Serena approached senior volleyball already at the age of 16, playing in Serie B; in 2018 she won the U18 Scudetto with Volleyrò. At 18 she immediately moved to A2 and in the season interrupted by the pandemic she played with Green Warriors Sassuolo with 20 appearances; the following year she moved to Martignacco also in A2. In three of the last four seasons she played with Valsabbina Millenium Brescia, whose captain’s armband she wore last season and with whom she won the A2 Italian Cup in 2022. She made her A1 debut in 2023/24 with Honda Olivero Cuneo and then returned to Brescia soil last season. In A2 she is reported as a top libero in the category and a player of character on the court despite her young age. At 24, Serena Scognamillo makes the leap to the top of Italian volleyball with a transfer to Conegliano.
Student of Law at the University of Bologna, Roman doc and Roma fan, Serena has also worn the jersey of Italy’s under national teams, after a long apprenticeship she lands in Conegliano to play with Prosecco DOC Imoco.
