George Russell took pole position in the Canadian Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2025 Formula One World Championship, as he did last year.

The Mercedes driver surprisingly mocked Max Verstappen by 160 thousandths when it all seemed to be over. Third position for Oscar Piastri, ahead of a very good Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes).

Farther back were the Ferraris, with Lewis Hamilton fifth at 627 thousandths from Russell and even eighth Charles Leclerc, also behind Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris.
