PSPG is picking up where it left off. After their clear victory over Inter Milan (5-0) in the Champions League final, the Parisians rifled a poker to Atletico Madrid in their debut match at the Club World Cup, valid for the first day of Group B.

At Pasadena&#8217s Rose Bowl Stadium, in fact, it ended 4-0 for the European champions, who unlocked the game on 19′ with a left-footed strike to the corner by Fabian Ruiz, on an assist from Kvaratskhelia. At the end of the first half Vitinha signed the double, again on an assist from the Georgian.

In the second half, the Colchoneros shortened the gap with Alvarez but his goal was cancelled out by VAR. At 77′ the Spaniards were left in ten due to Lenglet’s double yellow: in the final the Parisians ramped up with goals by Mayulu (87′) and Kang-in Lee (97′) on a penalty kick.

The Parisians were able to score in the final.

Thanks to this victory, Luis Enrique’s men fly to the top of Group B, which also includes Botafogo and Seattle Sounders. Paris will be back on the pitch on Friday, June 20, at 3 p.m. Italian time with Botafogo.
