Jannik Sinner well-positioned to return to Turin for ATP Finals

The tennis season is at the classic turning point. Two Slams have already been contested (Jannik Sinner won the Australian Open, Roland Garros l‘brought home Carlos Alcaraz) and, as a result, half the season has already gone into the archives.
The results are certifying how Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are, right now, the dominators of the’ATP. So much so, in fact, that their presence at the ATP Finals in November seems little more than a formality. Unlikely they may not be in the top eight who will have a pass for what, at one time, was called the Masters.
In the race for Turin right now, Jannik Sinner is firmly in second place, behind the Spaniard himself, fresh off his success in Paris. The upcoming challenges on the grass and, in particular, Wimbledon, could change the ranking.
What seems certain is that Jannik Sinner will play what would be his fourth career ATP Finals (at the moment he is already the Italian with the most appearances: three with Matteo Berrettini stopped at two). It should be mentioned that the Italian star has already won ATP Finals. Last year he beat, in the final, the American Taylor Fritz. Turin is still far from the world No. 1’s thoughts but it is good to know that, barring unforeseen events, we will see him again at the ATP Finals and he may not even be the’only Italian (watch out for Lorenzo Musetti).
