Jannik Sinner is ready to return to the court after Roland Garros.
The world number one in Halle will face a tennis player from the qualifiers in the first round, then on his way he may face Bublik, Hurkacz, Rublev and Zverev (or Medvedev). But the Azure will also participate in the doubles tournament for the first time since the suspension, along with friend Lorenzo Sonego.
The Italian pair, which gave us so much satisfaction in the Davis Cup, will make their debut on Monday in the first round against the duo composed of Russia’s Khachanov and the U.S. Michelsen: the time is yet to be determined. It’s clear Sinner’s goal: to play as much as possible on grass to regain the right feeling on this particular surface as soon as possible.
Sinner in 2025 never played doubles, while in 2024 he played 8 matches, the last one in Davis Cup alongside Matteo Berrettini against Argentina. In his career, Sinner has played 50 doubles matches, winning 26 times and capturing one title.
