Valentino Rossi, dream shattered: knocked out when leading at 24 Hours of Le Mans

Valentino Rossi’s dream at the 24 Hours of Le Mans was extinguished in the night: the Doctor’s team was forced to retire when he was leading the prestigious endurance race, 13 hours before the end of the race. The’former MotoGP centaur was on the team with Ahmad Al Harthy and Kelvin van der Linde: the latter was the protagonist of an accident in the night that knocked out the No. 46 BMW M4 GT3 EVO of the WRT team.
Valentino Rossi and his teammates had run an exemplary race up to that point, and virtually led the LMGT3 class race. But unfortunately, an electrical problem ended the race at Curve Porsche.
Also in 2024 Valentino Rossi had failed to finish the competition, again due to an accident. The nine-time motorcycle world champion will be right back on track in two weeks for the 24 Hours of Spa, where he hopes to have better luck.
