L'Empoli starts again with Guido Pagliuca

Through a note l’Empoli has announced the name of the new coach: it is Guido Pagliuca. The’former Juve Stabia coach has signed a contract with the blue club until June 30, 2027.

Born in Cecina on February 17, 1976, Guido Pagliuca began his career on the bench in the youth sectors of Rosignano Sei Rose and Cecina, a club that in 2007 entrusted him with the guidance of the first team in Serie D. Three years later he landed at Borgo a Buggiano, with which he immediately gained promotion to the professional ranks.

He then guided Gavorrano in the Pro League, then Bogliasco, before arriving at Lucchese in the 2013/14 season: also in this case he achieved promotion, winning the Serie D championship. After experiences on the benches of Imolese, Real Forte Querceta, and Ghivizzano, in October 2019 he became assistant coach of Cremonese in Serie B.

His path continues at the helm of Pianese in Serie D, and then Lucchese and Siena in Serie C. In the summer of 2023 he signed with Juve Stabia, with which he won promotion to Serie B. With the Campani he finished last championship in fifth place, hitting the play-offs.
