Achille Polonara receives hospital visit from FIP president Gianni Petrucci

The president of the Italian Basketball Federation, Gianni Petrucci, went in person to’Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Hospital in Bologna, to bring his closeness and that of the entire Italian basketball movement to Achille Polonara, who is undergoing specific therapies at the Bologna hospital to deal with a form of myeloid leukemia whose diagnosis was made known on Monday.

The basketball player class of 1991 had addressed just Monday, directly to the fans, a short message via social: “Everything will be fine! Thank you for the many messages” the words of Polonara, who in a few hours has received the’encouragement from fans and insiders not only from the basketball world, but also from other sports.
