Gennaro Gattuso ct, Marcello Lippi approves and has no fear

The appointment of Gattuso as the new national team coach has not convinced everyone but Marcello Lippi is convinced that he is the right man: “I called him immediately to congratulate him and tell him two things that remain naturally between us. They are not for newspapers”.

Everything said about him is true: serious, prepared, gritty. A leader. He will do very well in the Azzurri”, he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“In him I found points in common for character, for relationships with the players. He has a way of managing the team that resembles mine. His teams are not only competitive, but they play, they build from the bottom. He will do everything to go to the World Cup”, he concluded.
