Lorenzo Sonego finally breaks free in Halle: now the derby against Flavio Cobolli

Flavio Cobolli, Jannik Sinner and now Lorenzo Sonego: tennis Italy is off to a good start on the grass of Halle. After the Lazio player and the South Tyrolean also the Piedmontese tennis player tasted victory in Germany, after almost two months of defeats.

The Azzurro had a convincing success against German Jan Lennard Struff, folding sharply with the scores of 6-3, 6-2. The Turin native in the second round will take on compatriot Flavio Cobolli himself, who on Tuesday afternoon had folded rising star Joao Fonseca after a real battle in three sets.

In contrast, Jannik Sinner’s success against Hanfmann, who was overcome in two sets 7-5, 6-3.
