When Jasmine Paolini plays in Berlin: background with Jabeur

Following her elimination in the round of 16 at Roland Garros at the hands of Elina Svitolina, Jasmine Paolini is set to make her debut on the German grass of Berlin, WTA 500 in which she is the fourth seed on the draw.

The world number four will make her debut with lucky loser Ons Jabeur, currently ranked #61 in the WTA rankings. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, on the ‘Steffi Graff Stadion’ following the match between Paula Badosa and Emma Navarro, which will begin at 11:30 a.m.

There are five previous matches between Paolini and Jabeur with the Tuscan ahead 3-2: the’last one dates back to the round of 16 of the Internazionali d’Italia 2025 when the Azzurra won in two sets. Paolini also beat the Tunisian in the round of 16 at the WTA 1000 in Miami 2025 and the round of 16 at the WTA 500 in Stuttgart 2024.

The former world number two’s two victories, on the other hand, came in the round of 16 of the WTA 250 in Eastbourne 2023 and the first round of the WTA 1000 in Madrid 2022.
