Jannik Sinner-Alexander Bublik, it’s all decided in the third set

With an impressive reaction of pride from a decidedly underwhelming first set, Alexander Bublik evened the score with Jannik Sinner, winning the second set with a score of 6-3 after 43 minutes of play. For the Kazakh it was the first set won against Sinner in two years: the’last one was in Halle itself, in 2023.
The fraction actually began with the two tennis players in balance, at least until 3-2 for Bublik: the sixth game saw the Kazakh take a break lead, with Sinner good at nullifying two break points before, however, surrendering on the third. In fact, it was the game that allowed Bublik to win the set, as at 5-3 the world number 45 did not miss the opportunity to win the decisive game on his own serve.
In the first set, Sinner had tried to set the record straight, managing to take a break lead at the first useful opportunity, and then sailing on to win the fraction, which ended with the score of 6-3 after some interesting flashes of play by Bublik, who had tried to put pressure on Sinner in the final part.
Sinner and Bublik have faced each other five times in their careers, with four wins by the South Tyrolean and one by the Kazakh, who was victorious due to Sinner’s withdrawal just in Halle in the 2023 edition. The two recently crossed arms at Roland Garros, with Sinner victorious 6-1, 7-5, 6-0.
