Great exclusives are coming for tennis and basketball, which have always been historical pillars of Sky Sports. The first news concerns tennis fans: the Wimbledon tournament, the oldest, most fascinating and exciting Grand Slam event, will be exclusive on Sky and streamed on NOW, as well as for the 2025 and 2026 editions, for the four-year period 2027-2030.

From tennis to basketball: the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Europe’s most exciting tournament, will also be exclusive on Sky and NOW for the next 3 seasons, until 2028, as will the BKT EuroCup, the second continental tournament. Two major events will be the stars of the new Sky Sport Basket channel, which will soon be available with 24-hour programming and where the new NBA challenges will return from October.

“We are very pleased to have acquired important rights in sports areas of great interest and tradition such as tennis and basketball – said Marzio Perrelli, Executive Vice President Sport of Sky Italia -. With great news also for the current summer: swimming, rugby and fencing complete a summer of great sports on Sky. In particular, two of these agreements will allow us to exclusively tell our subscribers about the next six editions of a unique event like Wimbledon and the next three seasons of EuroLega and EuroCup with the best of European basketball. Agreements that testify once again to our commitment to ensuring the centrality of a rich and varied offer for our House of Sport”.

The Wimbledon tournament, tennis’ iconic Grand Slam event, will be on Sky and streamed on NOW, in addition to the 2025 and 2026 editions, for the four-year period 2027-2030. Thanks to a new agreement with the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), Sky has in fact acquired exclusive broadcast rights for another four years of the prestigious London grass tournament. Tennis is confirmed among the pillars of Sky’s House of Sports, with a great offer: coverage of the 250, 500 and Masters 1000 tournaments on the ATP Tour circuit; the US Open; the 250, 500 and 1000 tournaments on the WTA Tour circuit; and the ATP and WTA Tour Finals. The 2025 edition of Wimbledon will kick off next June 30 and will enjoy full coverage on Sky and NOW: the men’s and women’s singles and doubles draw challenges and the presentation, analysis and commentary studios will have two reference channels (Sky Sport Tennis and Sky Sport Arena), plus 6 dedicated channels (Wimbledon 1-6) with Split Screen capability. And thanks to Sky Sport Mix, also “Live Wimbledon,” to watch all matches simultaneously. A team of great champions will be on commentary, including Ivan Ljubicic, Paolo Bertolucci, Flavia Pennetta, Stefano Pescosolido and Renzo Furlan.

The great basketball show will soon be featured on a new dedicated channel. It will be called Sky Sport Basket and will host – in addition to the FIBA Eurobasket 2025 and a selection of challenges from the American professional league NBA – also the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and the BKT EuroCup. In fact, the two major European men’s club basketball competitions will also be exclusive on Sky and streamed on NOW for the 2025/2026, 2026/2027, and 2027/2028 seasons. A total of at least four EuroLeague matches will be broadcast per game week, with presentation studios for each day. In addition to live matches, also planned are daily updates on Sky Sport 24, weekly columns, news on the skysport.it website and on the official social profiles of SkySport and NOW.

In the meantime, two important events are approaching that, this summer, will see the Italian national teams engaged and that will be broadcast on Sky Sport channels: from June 18 to 29, the FIBA Women’s Eurobasket 2025, with Italy engaged in the first phase in Bologna against Serbia, Slovenia and Lithuania (between June 18 and 21); the phase that will award the medals is instead scheduled in Athens, between June 24 and 29. From Aug. 27 to Sept. 14, space instead for FIBA Eurobasket 2025: the Azzurri will play the first phase in Cyprus against Greece, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain and Cyprus (Aug. 28-Sept. 4) while the decisive phase is scheduled in Riga, Latvia, from Sept. 6 to 14.
