Çalhanoğlu-Galatasaray: Inter director’s future remains a puzzle

Inter Milan could soon lose one of its most valuable pieces. Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Turkish director and centerpiece of the Nerazzurri’s midfield, has landed in the crosshairs of Galatasaray. The Istanbul club’s interest is concrete, although there is no talk of an official negotiation at the moment. However, the next few days could be crucial to see if the transfer can really take shape.

A testament to the Gala’s growing attention, the player’s agent, Gordon Stipic, is expected in Turkey shortly for an initial meeting with the Giallorossi management. The objective is clear: to understand the economic feasibility of the operation, both from the point of view of the price tag and the salary. While Galatasaray seems willing to make an effort on the player’s salary, they remain much more cautious about the transfer investment.

The gap between supply and demand is currently significant. Inter has set the price of the player’s card between 35 and 40 million euros, a figure that reflects the player’s value on the field and his centrality in the technical project. Galatasaray, on the other hand, seems intent on not going beyond 20 million, a gap that currently blocks any concrete possibility.

For his part, Çalhanoğlu has not yet publicly expressed a definitive position.
