Jannik Sinner, what changes at ATP ranking level after Halle knockout

For the top three players in the world, the day on Thursday, June 19, was rather difficult, but if Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, despite suffering greatly against Jaume Munar and Lorenzo Sonego, managed to advance to the quarters at Queen’s and Halle, respectively, Jannik Sinner paid the most for the toll due to the change of surface, being eliminated in Halle itself in a comeback by Alexander Bublik.
That one on the grass of the Owl Arena is a knockout that will inevitably take its toll at the ATP ranking level for Sinner, who will lose as many as 450 points given that it was in Halle last year that he finished with success in the final against Hubert Hurkacz. At the next ranking update, Sinner will drop from 10,880 to 10,430 points, although his ranking lead is still in no danger at the moment.
Alcaraz, in fact, will definitely gain points at the end of the Queen’s tournament, in which he is the top seed, but even if he were to go on to win it he would not exceed 9,300 points. Even more distant is Zverev, who by reaching the final success in Halle would hover at 6,800, well behind not only Sinner but also the Murciano.
Sinner will thus confirm himself first in the rankings again on Monday, June 23, and it will be 378 consecutive days ahead of everyone, an absolutely prestigious achievement when one considers the points taken away last year for the so-called “Clostebol” case and the subsequent suspension agreed upon by WADA that forced him to miss three months this season.
