Lorenzo Saccaggi chooses the red and white again

Despite the relegation to Serie A2 that came in the recently concluded championship, Lorenzo Saccaggi has decided to continue his avvetura in Pistoia, signing a new three-year agreement with the club in which he grew up, before a series of experiences in other second-series clubs and a return to the red and white in 2020.
“Estra Pistoia Basket 2000 Ssd arl announces that Lorenzo Saccaggi will still be part of our roster – reads the club’s note published on Saturday – having reached a new three-year agreement with the club, confirming the long-term planning that the club is pursuing as evidenced by the agreements signed to date”.
A 1992-year-old point guard, Lorenzo Saccaggi made his Legadue debut in 2009 with Pistoia of all places, a club with which he remained until 2013 before a couple of experiences on loan to Forlì in 2013-2024 and Casalpusterlengo in the following year’year. Sold in 2015 to Verona, he played one season in the Gialloblù before moving to Siena, where he stayed until 2018. After two years in Biella, he then returned to Pistoia, never leaving again.
The Biancorossi will play the next Serie A2 championship after their last place in the 2024-2025 Serie A regular season cost them relegation at the end of a disappointing year, quite different from 2023-2024 in which the Tuscan club even managed to qualify for the playoffs as a newly promoted team. The stated goal is to make an immediate return to the top flight.
