Frederic Massara, Roma&#8217s new sporting director, gave an interview to the official channels of the Giallorossi club: “Returning to this club is for me a source of great pride. In Roma I have lived significant moments of my career, tying me to the city and the club tradition. But beyond the sentiment I have retained over these years, I now look forward to embracing the new sporting challenge that awaits us all”.

On Friedkin: “I have found a very determined family, very passionate, in wanting to give joys to the Romanist public, in wanting to win trophies, they are really very determined, we will have to work hard not to disregard these ambitions”.

Massara will find Claudio Ranieri again: “Meanwhile, it is a great pleasure to find him again even if in a new capacity. It will also be an important capacity for me, it represents a bridge to a more immediate return to the Roma reality, it is a great pleasure to work with him again”.

On the new coach Gasperini: “This is something we need, we all need to be demanding with ourselves. Mister Gasperini really will personify this spirit in the best way, the results he has had in these years are extraordinary, we are convinced that he will be able to give a very clear identity to our team and bring that spirit that we are all looking for”.

The new coach, Mr. Gasperini, is a very good coach.

So he dictated the line on the market: “We are all aware that there are quite stringent stakes to be met with financial fair play, so we will work in the direction to do things that can be sustainable, but still functional for the growth of the team.”

“It will be a search to find useful, functional and strong players – he added. “Our goal is to build a strong Roma and make it stronger and stronger as we grow these years”.

“I really feel a great trust from the Roma fans, then in Roma, in the club, and this will push us to do better and better in order to be able to give satisfactions that everyone deserves” concluded Massara.
