Club World Cup: River Plate-Monterrey goalless, Fluminense ok

Two Club World Cup group stage matches played on the night. River Plate–Monterrey, a match in Group E (the same as Inter), ended in a deadlocked net with the Argentines wasting several goal balls during the match.
Los Millonarios remain 10 down in the final minutes (Castano sent off). A draw that leaves everything open in Group E with Inter and River Plate, both with four points, set to play each other on the final day. Monterrey, with two points, will have to win with the Urawa Reds and hope for good news from the other match.
In the night’s other match, Fluminense won over Ulsan 4-2. Sensationally, at halftime, the Asians were up 2-1. In the second half, it was Nonato, Freytes and Kano who gave the victory to the Brazilians, now first in Group F alongside Borussia Dortmund (four points apiece).
Today, at 6 p.m., Juventus is back on the pitch, expected to take on Wydad AC (6 p.m. Italian time). The Bianconeri, after the’excellent debut, are looking for confirmation and, possibly, a pass to the round of 16. At 9 p.m., meanwhile, Real Madrid will take on Pachuca. On the night, Inzaghi’Al-Hilal against Salzburg and, to close, Manchester City will look for the three points in the match with the’Al-Ain.
