Golf, Italian Open kicks off: TV coverage and streaming on Sky Sports and NOW

The anticipation is growing for the 82nd edition of the Open d’Italian Golf Championship, an event that is part of the DP World Tour and will be played from Thursday, June 26 to Sunday, June 29, exactly 100 years after the first edition held in 1925 and won by Francesco Pasquali. Venue for the event, which will see 156 players compete, will be the Argentario Golf Club in Monte Argentario, in the province of Grosseto.

Television and streaming coverage will be provided by Sky and in particular Sky Sport Golf, both via satellite and on the NOW streaming service. Three of the four days, including the decisive one for the’awarding of the title, will be broadcast live, with windows running from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The event will be broadcast live.

Among the participants, great attention will be paid to Italians Guido Migliozzi, Francesco Laporta, Edoardo Molinari, Andrea Pavan, Gregorio De Leo, Renato Paratore and Filippo Celli. International stars include five of the top 10 on the course’s order of merit: England’s John Parry, Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan, New Zealand’s Daniel Hillier, France’s Martin Couvra and South Africa’s Shaun Norris.

Tv commentary for the four days will be provided by Silvio Grappasonni, Massimo Scarpa and Marco Cogliati. Sent to the Argentario will be Francesca Piantanida and Alessandro Lupi, who will provide updates and guest links on Sky Sport 24. Scheduled at the end of each day will be a daily magazine “Speciale Golf Open d’Italia” broadcast at 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 10:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Sky Sport Golf.
