He was supposed to be one of the new faces of the Nerazzurri attack, but Mehdi Taremi’s adventure with the Inter shirt may have already come to an end. After a disappointing season, marked by few flashes, several injuries and an impact far from expectations, the Iranian striker is now set to make a change of scenery. The player’s agent, on the club’s instructions, is already working to find him a new home: the most concrete track leads to Turkey, where Besiktas has shown interest.

The Istanbul club has reportedly initiated initial contacts with the former Porto player’s entourage, but there have been no direct talks with the Inter management yet. The negotiations, therefore, are still in the embryonic stage, but the Turkish hypothesis appears viable, provided the right economic conditions are found. Although Taremi arrived on a zero-parameter basis, the Nerazzurri club is not willing to give him away and still wants to monetize from a possible sale.

Complicating the picture is also the geopolitical situation in Iran, which has prevented the 1992-class striker from participating in the Club World Cup, as he has been stranded in his own country. A further tile in an already compromised year.

Taremi’s future thus appears far from Milan, despite an existing contract until 2027. Now his fate could take him to Turkey, where Besiktas is ready to offer him a new chance to relaunch himself. The coming weeks will be decisive in clarifying his future.
