Jannik Sinner, unveiled on Wimbledon debut day

After being eliminated in the second round of the Halle ATP 500, Jannik Sinner is preparing to return to the court at Wimbledon. The world number one arrived in London on Monday and has already held a training session, part of which was with Aryna Sabalenka, on the courts of the All England Club.

The draw for the men’s draw for the next edition of the Championships, starting Monday, June 30, is scheduled for Friday, June 27. However, it is already known on which day the South Tyrolean champion will make his Wimbledon debut.

The tradition of the London Slam in fact wants the defending champion to open the tournament program, and therefore Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, will make his debut on Monday, June 30. Sinner, as the first seed, and thus on the opposite side of the scoreboard from Murciano, will thus make his debut on the following day, that is, Tuesday, July 1.

Sinner will not be in the tournament.

Sinner will not be the’only seed among the Azzurri: in addition to Jannik, the seeding leader, there are also Lorenzo Musetti, Flavio Cobolli, and Matteo Berrettini, seeded due to the forfeit of Casper Ruud.
