Filippo Baldi Rossi to Verona: Cantù says goodbye in style

The adventure of Filippo Baldi Rossi in Cantù has come to the end of the line: just a few days after the promotion he won as captain, the 1991 class long player has in fact consensually terminated the contract that bound him to the Brianza club and is now very close to a new experience still in A2, this time with Scaligera Basket Verona, as reported by ‘La Provincia’.

“Acqua S.Bernardo Pallacanestro Cantù announces that it has consensually terminated the contract with athlete Filippo Baldi Rossi – reads the note from the club, which in 2025-26 will return to the top division after four years of purgatory -. The entire club would like to express heartfelt and warm thanks to Filippo for the great professionalism, constant commitment and dedication with which he has honored the biancoblù jersey in each of his 124 official appearances”.

“Three intense seasons, during which Baldi Rossi left a deep mark in the recent history of the club, and culminated with the promotion trophy to Serie A, raised to the sky of PalaDesio as captain” concluded the club, which had hired Baldi Rossi in the’summer of 2022 after the latter had concluded his experience at Pallacanestro Reggiana.

Grew up in Virtus Bologna, Filippo Baldi Rossi made his senior debut right with the Vu Nere in 2008, before wearing the undershirts of Perugia, PMS Torino, Trento, again Virtus Bologna, Reggio Emilia and Cantù. Between 2017 and 2021 he also collected 19 appearances in the national team, playing the European Championship just in 2017.
