Ivan Ljubicic in the Gazzetta dello Sport presented the Wimbledon tournament in which Carlos Alcaraz will start as defending champion: “He has everything he needs to play well on grass. He responds well, he moves well, he is very powerful. But it is not a surprise, because he found the feeling right away: it is a particular surface, either you find your size right away or you struggle. I have struggled all my career; Federer, like Carlos, immediately found the right feeling”.

“Jannik Sinner on paper should be fine, but he doesn&#8217t seem to have had the same feeling as Carlos. The Spaniard moves well, has great balance. Sinner, though, starting with his serve, is also growing on grass. It is a surface on which, if you like to have everything under control, you are less comfortable”.

The South Tyrolean restarts from the defeat in Halle but especially from the one in the final at Roland Garros: “It was a big blow, a hard blow. But do you know how you erase a blow like that? If you go on and you have a chance to win a Slam”.

“The good news is that this is the ideal time, because if you take the drubbing in Paris, you have three weeks and you get right back in the game. If it happens to you in New York, you have to wait until Australia, from Australia to Paris is even longer…”, the Croatian finally emphasized.
