Marc Marquez at medical center after painful double crash at 200 all'hour: his condition

Unlucky Friday for Marc Marquez, who fell both during free practice and pre-qualifying for the MotoGP Grand Prix d’Holland. The Catalan rider of Ducati, the leader of the overall standings, slipped earlier in the morning free practice session: the number 93 suffered a strained triceps.
In the afternoon, already battered, Marquez fell again, again at Turn 7 of the Dutch track: the accident was this time more serious, Marquez lost control of his bike around 200 km per hour. The rider, who ended up in the gravel, was immediately transported to the medical center for a full check-up.
Jorge Lorenzo on commentary on Dazn said he was concerned: “That is the corner that led to my retirement. That’s where I broke my vertebrae. The problem comes when you enter the gravel at 200 per’hour: you start turning and that is where the injuries occur. Definitely suffered a lot”.
Marc Marquez after a visit to the medical center, despite the abrasions and bruises, was deemed fit to continue the weekend in Holland: he will be able to participate in both qualifying (he qualified for Q2) and the sprint race, if his physical condition on Saturday allows. “Marc has a pelvic contusion and a stitch in his chin. Absolute peace of mind, everything is fine” are the words of Dr. Charte.
