When does Fabio Fognini play at Wimbledon: his record with Carlos Alcaraz

Fabio Fognini is preparing for his Wimbledon debut. The Italian tennis player is most likely in his last season as a professional and enters the most prestigious Slam thanks to the withdrawal of Arhur Fils due to injury. His best result on the London courts was the third round. In his debut, the Italian will face the world number 2 and title holder, Carlos Alcaraz.

The Ligurian tennis player has already faced the Spaniard twice. The previous meetings both ended in favor of Alcaraz and both took place in Rio de Janeiro. The last meeting between the two dates back to 2023 where the Spaniard overcame Fognini in three sets with a score of 6-7, 6-2, 6-4.

The match, scheduled for Monday, June 30, will open the Wimbledon center court program. Alcaraz and Fognini will take the court at 2:30 p.m. Italian time (1:30 p.m. local time).

Fognini arrives at the match with a desire for redemption after a 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 defeat in the first round of the Atp 250 in Mallorca against Altmaier.
