Ciro Immobile to Bologna, this is it: deal closing

Bologna soccer market: Ciro Immobile will be the big name for the Rossoblù next season, marked by a triple journey between the league, Europa League and that Coppa Italia of which the Emiliani are the holders. The Campania-born center forward, once Serie A top scorer with Torino and three others with Lazio, is in fact one step away from returning to Italy after his Turkish adventure with Besiktas.

Bologna is in fact at an advanced state of negotiations with the Istanbul club, which is expected to give the green light soon: according to ‘Sky Sport‘ it is a matter of hours. For Immobile, who left Lazio in 2024 after as many as eight seasons, a split of 15 goals in Super Lig, two in the Europa League and two more in the Turkish Super Cup will thus come to an end.

Immobile will sign a contract with Bologna valid for one year, with an’option, however, for the second. In the meantime, technical director Giovanni Sartori is working to put the final pieces in order, particularly the severance package to be guaranteed to Besiktas, which holds his card.

Already the author of 196 goals in Serie A between Torino and Lazio, Immobile will aim in Bologna to surpass the 200 mark by writing his name even further among the top scorers in the history of our league. He will do so alongside Castro and Dallinga, who, according to the ‘Corriere dello Sport’ will not take off the Rossoblù jersey despite the arrival of the emblazoned colleague.
