Now it is final. Fourteen years later, the Executive Board of the IBU (the International Biathlon Federation) held in Salzburg made official the reallocation of some world medals after the final rejection by the Swiss Federal Court of the appeal brought by Russia’s Evgeny Ustyugov against the cancellations of his results between 2010 and 2014 due to anti-doping rule violations.

The ultimate consequence of that decision includes a number of consequences, the first of which is the promotion of Lukas Hofer from bronze medalist to silver medalist in the men’s mass start at the World Championships in Khanty Mansiysk, behind the new winner who is Norway’s Emil Svendsen, while Tarjej Boe rises to third place with bronze. In the same competition Ukraine earns the silver medal in the men’s relay behind Noervegia, the bronze goes to Sweden with Italy fifth.

Furthermore, Austria’s Christoph Sumann (Aut) becomes the winner of the 2009/10 men’s World Cup mass start standings, the 2011/12 men’s Cup for Nations goes to France, as well as the 2013 Cup for Nations goes to Norway. Finally, Norway becomes the mnation with the most points in the 2012/13 men’s relay ranking.

At the Executive Board meeting, the Ibu Cup and Ibu Cup junior calendars for 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 were also approved.
