When Matteo Arnaldi plays at Wimbledon: background with Botic van de Zandschulp

After withdrawing first at Queen’s and then in Eastbourne due to an ankle injury, Matteo Arnaldi is ready to return to the court at Wimbledon.
The Ligurian tennis player, currently number 43 in the world, will make his debut on Monday, June 30, on Court 6. The match will be his last on this court, and the opening match on court 6 will be between the two Americans Tien and Basavareddy. The Italian will then make his debut at 4 p.m. at the earliest against Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp ( 92 in the world ranking).
Only one previous match between Arnaldi and van de Zandschulp, who faced each other in the Davis Cup in 2023. The Dutchman got the better of the Sanremese with a score of 6-7,6-3,7-6.
In the last edition of the Championships, Arnaldi was eliminated by Frances Tiafoe in the first round. The Ligurian has never made it past the first round at Wimbledon.
