Alexander Bublik reiterates his thoughts on Jannik Sinner

Waiting to take the court at Wimbledon with a lot of extra attention thanks to his success in the Halle tournament, in which among others he beat world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, Alexander Bublik confirmed his thoughts precisely on the South Tyrolean, reiterating his numbers and strength in general.
“I put in concentration, intensity, and when I serve well it is hard to outdo myself – said the Kazakh to ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ after almost apologizing, jokingly, to the Italian audience for beating the world number 1 -. But Halle is different from a Slam and Jannik is very strong. Of course, if we just look at the numbers and see that in one year he only lost to Alcaraz and me, it makes a certain impression. If it were to happen for another year, then I would feel flattered”.
Despite the period of dazzling form, Bublik does not feel favored for the final victory in the London slam: “I am realistic, I won four matches at Roland Garros and won Halle. I am aware of what I can do and what the level of my tennis is. But I would never say that I am the best in the world and I will lift the trophy”.
At Wimbledon 2025, Alexander Bublik has been placed in the top half of the draw, more specifically in Section 3, which features Jack Draper as the top seed, with the number 4 seed. Bublik will face in the first round Jaume Munar, who in the recent tournament at Queen’s gave Carlos Alcaraz a hard time, forcing him into an extra effort to defeat him in three sets.
