Wimbledon: fewer obstacles in the path of Sinner and Alcaraz

After their first matches, the path of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz to the Wimbledon final is decidedly less complicated. So many seeded players have already finished playing on the English grass, certifying how decidedly difficult it is to keep up with the pace of the two modern tennis stars.
In just one day, out of the main draw came Holger Rune, number 8 seed, Daniil Medvedev, number 9, and Stefanos Tsitsipas, number 24. Three possible outsiders who crumbled in the first round. To these was also added Matteo Berrettini who, at his peak fitness, could have been a problem for everyone at Wimbledon (where he was also a finalist).
The feeling is that Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have reached a level of tennis that is difficult for anyone else to reach. Alexander Zverev revealed that he had several problems after the final he lost to Jannik Sinner at the Australian Open. So many others on the circuit are realizing that the Sinner-Alcaraz duo is in another category.
In one respect, it feels like we are back in the era of the Big Three, that is, Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Nole Djokovic only, this time, there are two of them playing for every trophy and not three. That is, if the “veteran” Nole Djokovic does not surprise everyone, at least at Wimbledon, where he has won seven times in his career.
