Antoine Makoumbou leaves Cagliari: flies to Turkey

Antoine Makoumbou leaves Cagliari after three seasons. This was announced by the Rossoblù club itself through an official note in which it announced the sale of the 1998-born Congolese midfielder outright to Samsunspor Kulübü.

Who arrived in Sardinia in the summer of 2022, Makoumbou made his mark in the Rossoblù with three seasons as a star player, achieving promotion to Serie A and then two saves playing as a midfielder in front of the defense.

Cagliari had come in his career after starts at Monaco and experiences with Ajaccio B and Mainz 05, then in Slovenia at Tabor Sežana and Maribor. The haul with the Cagliari shirt speaks of 111 appearances, 2 goals (one in Serie B and one in Serie A) and 3 assists, numbers that only partly tell of his contribution made of technique, dynamism and attachment to the cause.

Now a new adventure awaits him in Turkey, the Sardinian club said goodbye to him and thanked him for his commitment, class and professionalism.
