Frosinone, new ds and coach announced
A new phase officially opens for Frosinone Calcio. At a press conference held in the press room of the stadium ‘Benito Stirpe’, general manager Piero Doronzo presented the new head of the club’s sports area: Renzo Castagnini, a longtime executive in the Italian football scene.
With significant experience in Palermo, Perugia, Cosenza and Brescia, Castagnini assumes the role of sporting director of the Ciociaro club after a complex season for the team, which ended with the team staying in Serie B directly and without the play-out lottery thanks to the penalty imposed on Brescia.
“With Renzo we face a difficult year but with determination and sustainability” said Doronzo. “I thank the president for the trust and Guido Angelozzi for the work shared over the years” he added. Then Castagnini spoke, who made official the name of the new coach: it will be Massimiliano Alvini.
“A capable and motivated technician, with a career that speaks for itself – the words of the new ds -We restart from a young, hungry team that knows how to run and make a group. We bet on the enhancement of human capital and the boys of the Primavera“.
On the market, Castagnini confirmed the’interest in goalkeeper Gori, with negotiations at an advanced stage. “I will not make affective choices – he clarified – but functional to the project. We want a competitive team, built on identity and teamwork, capable of bridging the gap with those with more resources”.
