L’former MotoGP centaur Jorge Lorenzo in an interview with GPOne commented on the situation at Ducati: Marc Marquez is flying and has the World Championship now in his hands, while Pecco Bagnaia continues to struggle weekend after weekend. The’former Ducati rider went a little against the tide and praised the Piedmontese rider for what he is trying to do so far, despite the overwhelming pit presence of the number 93.

“Psychologically, you always feel stronger and safer when you are the fastest, or when you are more or less at the same level as the fastest. Like in my case when I was racing with Stoner, Marquez or Valentino Rossi. If you feel inferior, it is not easy to continue to be confident and feel confident”.

“In my opinion, Bagnaia is handling the situation pretty well. He doesn”t give up, and at least he tries, but it”s not easy to stay close to a phenomenon like Márquez, who at this point has proven to be the best in almost every aspect”.

Lorenzo points to Bagnaia’s troubles in the GP25: “He has a style a bit’ like mine or Biaggi’s, we need a very stable bike to make the best of it, while riders like Marquez and Stoner are fast even when there are problems”.
