Shapovalov loses and explodes: "It' a joke!"

Denis Shapovalov’s troubles do not end: the Canadian tennis player, a former top 10 player now ranked 32nd in the ATP rankings, was defeated in the first round of the Wimbledon tournament by Mariano Navone, and lashed out at the tour’s organization.

“The balls are the worst – he lashed out during the match against the Argentine -’This tour has become a joke. It is slower than a clay court. It is not even grass anymore…”.

Shapovalov lost in four sets on London&#8217s grass by the scores of 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-4 to the No. 82 ATP ranking. The Canadian tennis player, after dropping out of the top 100 in 2023 due to knee trouble, is trying to climb up the rankings to return to the top: last year he was out in the third round against Ben Shelton.
