After her fine victory with Jill Teichmann in her Wimbledon debut, Lucia Bronzetti is preparing to return to the court for the second round where she will face Mirra Andreeva, number 7 in the ranking and seeding.

The showdown between l’Azzurra and the Russian, scheduled for Thursday, July 3, at 2 p.m. Italian time (1 p.m. local time), will open the schedule on court 1, which will also feature Elena Rybakina, opposing Maria Sakkari, and Jack Draper, who will face Marin Cilic.

There is no precedent between Bronzetti and Andreeva: the Russian starts as a heavy favorite, while the Rimini native, who has never beaten a top 10 player in her career, will be hunting for the feat.

Bronzetti has regained victory in the first round of the London Slam after five consecutive losses. In fact, the Romagna native&#8217s last victory was in the first round of the Internazionali d’Italia with Anastasija Sevastova.
