Aidan Knipe ready for first experience in Italy

The Mint Vero Volley Monza presented on Thursday its new setter for the 2025-2026 season: he is American Aidan Knipe, class of 2001, who accepted the Lombard club&#8217s offer with whom he will make his debut in the Italian league after experiences in Cyprus and Switzerland last year.

“I am excited to start this new adventure in Monza – said Knipe, who is eager to begin his new adventure. “Playing in the Italian SuperLega was a dream I had since I was a child. I am very honored to represent such a historic club and look forward to helping the team in any way I can to experience a season full of success”.

24 years old from Huntington Beach, California, Aidan Knipe played four seasons in American college tournaments organized by the NCAA, always with Long Beach State University. In 2023-2024 he played in the U.S. National Volleyball Association with the San Diego Wild jersey, before the jump to Europe where he played the first part of the season with Apoel Nicosia and the second with Chenois Genéve.

The Mint Vero Volley Monza will play the 2025-2026 season with the’ambition to improve on the 11th place obtained in the year just ended: the Lombardy team had finished tied on points with the last in the standings, Prisma Taranto, but avoided relegation thanks to the greater number of overall victories, six against four.
