F1, Ferrari: Charles Leclerc speaks out ahead of Silverstone

Present on the podium at the end of three of the last four races, Charles Leclerc is aiming to continue the positive series at Silverstone, a circuit that has, however, given him little satisfaction in recent years, with his last podium finish dating back to 2021. Ferrari’s Monegasque, while aware of the distance to McLaren, has high expectations for the British weekend.
“Getting on the podium gives confidence, the improvements are there and we are proving it – Leclerc said at the press conference – It’ true, we cannot be totally satisfied because the goal of a team like ours is to win: however, I hope this can be the right circuit to play our chances”.
“We faced a more difficult first part of the season than we expected – added the Ferrarista. We hoped to start from where we left off last year but we had some difficulties, however, we are finding our way back on the right track. What I expect are more updates that will allow us to reduce the distance from the leaders: I hope the second part of the World Championship can give us a lot of satisfaction”.
After finishing third in the 2024 World Championship behind Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc started 2025 with a few too many disappointments, with an eighth-place finish in Australia and a disqualification in China immediately raising doubts about the resilience of this year’s Ferrari. In the first seven races only one podium finish came, third place in Saudi Arabia, while much better has been going since Monte Carlo, with Leclerc finishing once second, twice third and once fifth.
