Jannik Sinner enjoys victory but doesn’t trust next opponent

Jannik Sinner spoke on court after beating Australian Aleksander Vukic in three sets, thus qualifying for the third round of the Wimbledon tournament: “I am very satisfied. Playing against him is very difficult, he serves very well”.

“I tried to respond the best I could. I tried to be solid from the back court even though I had some problems closing. The center court is always a special occasion”.

“I enjoyed it because I’ve won it” joked the world number one referring to the’last game which was the longest of the match, to the delight of the crowd present on center court.

Sinner will now face Pedro Martinez: “My team is already ready, third rounds in Slams are important. There have already been several surprises in this tournament and you have to stay focused, I feel like I am in a good place but I can still improve a couple of things”.
